Good for complex workflows

I upgraded to the Pro Plan last month to get more tasks and data transfer for a new project. The Scenario Builder is robust, letting me link up several apps that Zapier couldn't handle as easily. Setting up an HTTP Request Tool to pull data from a custom API took a bit of trial and error, but the documentation was solid enough that I got it working. Support replied within a day when I had a question about iterators, which was helpful. The platform feels powerful, though the interface can be a little dense at first glance. Overall, it's performing well for what I need.

Switched from something else

So I jumped over to Make from another automation tool, mainly because I heard good things about their Data Store. Wanted to try that out for a project. It was pretty easy to get my existing workflows moved over, like just rebuilding them using the Workflow Templates. The whole platform feels pretty solid. Didn't run into any weird glitches or anything. It's doing what I hoped it would.

Great value for annual billing

I was using the free tier for a while but needed more functionality, so I looked into upgrading. I decided to go with the Core Plan after seeing the annual billing discount. Paying yearly saved me a good chunk of money compared to monthly payments. It felt like a smart choice for the features I got, making the purchase totally worth it for my budget. No complaints about the value here.

Can you get a student discount on Make? Trying to automate some uni projects but funds are tight.

C Cleo M. 2 months ago
Pretty sure I saw something about student discounts in their FAQs or on their site. Worth checking their 'Education' section or something similar.

Yeah, they have one! I applied last semester. Just need to verify your student status, afaik.

Are there any promo codes floating around for Make? Looking to upgrade to a Pro plan but every little bit helps.

N Nina Carter 2 months ago
Usually, the best 'promo' is just switching to annual billing, saves you like 20%. Sometimes partners have referral links for a free month or two.

I've seen some partner codes give a month or two free, but actual percentage-off promo codes are pretty rare outside of big sales like Black Friday. Annual billing is your best bet for a regular discount.

Does anyone know if Make does Black Friday sales? Want to upgrade my plan but don't want to miss a good deal.

S Shane Walsh 2 months ago
They totally do! I snagged a pretty sweet deal last Black Friday for my Pro plan. Keep an eye out around then.

Yeah, they usually have something for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Also New Year's sometimes. Worth waiting a bit if you can.

how does make compare to zapier? i'm currently on zapier but thinking of switching if make is better value or easier to use.

M Megan Okafor 2 months ago
Make is way more powerful if you need complex stuff. Zapier is great for simple A to B automations, but Make can do crazy branching logic and integrate deeply with APIs. Might take a bit to learn though.

I switched from Zapier. Make is a bit steeper learning curve at first but so much more flexible. And generally, you get more bang for your buck on tasks.

hey, was thinking about trying Make for some of my freelance stuff. is it really free forever for the basic plan or are there hidden catches after a month?

J June Q. 2 months ago
Yeah, the free tier is legit. Been using it for small personal projects for ages without paying a dime. Just some limits on tasks and scenarios.

G Gwen Torres 2 months ago
It's free forever, but you'll hit the task limit pretty fast if you're doing anything serious. Upgrading is easy though if you need more.
